Masks Save Lives
Global Public Health Campaign

At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Amplifier launched a global emergency campaign inviting artists worldwide to create work promoting public safety and collective care. Inspired by firsthand experience in Korea, where mask-wearing was understood as an act of care for others rather than fear for oneself, the piece was designed as a clear and direct reminder of shared responsibility.

A simple declarative headline paired with an everyday subway scene made the message impossible to misread. Protecting yourself is protecting others.

The work was selected from over 10,500 submissions and distributed across multiple U.S. and European cities through banner drops, wheat-paste murals, digital projections, and video displays. It was exhibited internationally alongside work by Shepard Fairey and later inducted into the Library of Congress.
